Create It!

Throughout the ages, portraits have captured the attention of artists and art admirers around the world. It is interesting to look back at famous portraits and see a person at a certain place and time. With this in mind, wouldn’t it be fun to capture your little artists’ favorite stuffed animal or toy in a portrait they created?

Two of our little artists created portraits of their favorites.

Why is it that food seems to magically taste better when eaten outside? Simple sandwiches, fruit and salads suddenly become a special occasion when spread out on an old quilt under the leafy shade of a tree.  While we love to change it up with different foods, some staples for our picnics also include a handful of before and after eating activities. Our picnic kit, if you will, includes:

  • Frisbee or soccer ball
  • Sidewalk chalk
  • Doodle Books
  • Colored Pencils or Markers
  • Kite

Along with the food in a cooler, a blanket or quilt and some sunscreen and we are ready for making some summer memories! What are some of your picnic staples?
