Embroidery and other textile arts can create stunning artwork. Not ready for a needle? Interested in introducing textile artwork in a simple project?

Using the single hole paper punch, punch your design in the cardstock. Cut a length of yarn and knot one end. Simply thread the yarn through the paper hole punches to create a fun and colorful masterpiece!

With back to school shopping in full force, these bright page marker flags caught our eyes and we knew they could be turned into something fun.

Start with:

  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil/Pen
  • Assorted Color Page Marker Flags

Create It!

Draw and cut out a feather shape. If needed, fold feather in half, vertically, to have easy middle point of reference. Choose two page marker flags of the same color. Place in “v” shape at the bottom of the feather cut out. Choose two more page marker flags and place in “v” shape above the first pair of page marker flags. Repeat until the paper marker flags reach the tip of the feather. At the tip of the feather, fill in the remainder of the space with three additional paper marker flags to complete the feather. Choose different color combinations and create your own unique and colorful feathers!

We attached ours to use as a gift tag. Do you usually make your own gift tags?
