Hearts, Xs and Os - so many fun shapes at Valentine's Day! We used cardboard from our recycle bin and some paint to make this fun collaborative piece of Valentine artwork!
Start with:
- Cardboard
- Scissors
- Glue
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- 1 inch Hole Punch (optional)
Create it!
Step 1: Have your little one paint a piece of cardboard. Allow to dry.
Step 2: Cut out heart shapes and short strips (to glue together to form the letter x) and use hole punch or cut circles for the letter o.
Step 3: Let your little one glue the Valentine cardboard pieces to the piece of painted cardboard.
Step 4: Finish with a little contrasting color paint. (We used red!)
We used a mixture of cardboard with colors already printed on them and painted a few pieces of standard uncolored cardboard. So much fun to see what your little artist will create!
