Got a kiddo that loves unicorns? This unicorn crown craft, or unicrown as we've taken to calling it, is a simple and super fun cardboard craft to make and wear!
Start with:
- Cardboard
- Colored Cardstock
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pencil
- Stapler
Create it!
Step 1: Cut a length of cardboard, measure the size and staple ends together to form a crown. Paint it and allow it to dry if you would like it to be a different color than the cardboard you are using.
Step 2: Cut ears out of cardboard (paint and allow them to dry). Cut smaller ear shapes from colored cardstock.
Step 3: Glue the smaller shape to the larger shape for ears.
Step 4: Glue the ears to the crown.
Step 5: From cardstock, cut two shapes like the letter C and several small rectangles - these pieces will form the eyes.
Step 6: Glue the eye pieces to the front of the crown.
Step 7: Cut a horn from cardstock.
Step 8: Glue the horn to the top, front of the crown - between the ears.
Step 9: Cut two half circles from cardstock and glue to the crown for the unicorn's cheeks.
Step 10: Cut strips of cardstock and curl with a pencil.
Step 11: Glue the curled cardstock strips between the ears and to the side of the crown for the unicorn mane.
For a party, dress up or just because - this unicorn crown is super fun to make and wear!
