We love how this simple craft adds such a festive touch! Cheery addition to gifts, party favors or just for fun! They take very little time to make and you likely already have all of the materials on hand!

Start with:

·         Green cardstock

·         Pencil

·         Tracing objects (we used a quarter, nickel and dime)

·         Toothpick

·         Scissors

·         Star stickers

Create It!

On green cardstock, trace one of each sized circles per tree.

Cut out circles.

Starting with smallest circle, gently poke toothpick through center. (or use tip of a pen to create hole) Slide smallest circle near the top of the toothpick.

Repeat with remaining circles, leaving largest circle for last.

Carefully place one star sticker at very top of toothpick. Turn toothpick over and cover back of sticker with a second star sticker. This is the trickiest part!

Anchor toothpick in pencil eraser for a festive holiday touch!

We are over at hello,Wonderful sharing how we made these colorful hats from repurposed yogurt cups!

With summer well upon us and the temperatures soaring, it’s either the pool or playing inside for us. Looking for a quick non-screen activity to help keep boredom at bay? We repurposed yogurt cups to make the classic ball and cup game!

Start with:

  • Yogurt Cup
  • Hole Punch
  • Scissors
  • String
  • Wooden Bead
  • Colorful Tape and/or Stickers

Create It!

Using tape, stickers or a combination of the two, decorate the outside of the yogurt cup.

Cut approximately 12 in. of string and tie one end to the wooden bead.

Punch hole on side of the decorated yogurt cup. Tie remaining end of string to the hole in the yogurt cup.

Getting just the right amount of momentum to make the ball land in the cup takes a bit of practice but hearing the satisfying “clink” of the ball landing inside of the cup is happy music on a long summer day!
