You know how we love to piece together simple shapes like circles, triangles and rectangles to create something new! This simple shapes turkey is a fun craft for young children learning shapes. Start by sorting the shapes and then move on to making the turkey!
Start with:
- Cardboard
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Scissors
- Glue
Create it!
Step 1: Cut cardboard into triangles and different sized circles.
Step 2: Paint the triangles for feathers and the circles for the body of the turkey. Allow to dry.
Step 3: Glue a smaller circle on top of a larger circle for the turkey body.
Step 4: Glue the triangles behind the turkey body for feathers.
Step 5: Add a beak and wattle from painted cardboard.
So fun that just two simple shapes can create a turkey!
