We thought it would be fun to try making a zebra but instead of black stripes, we added rainbow! Partially because we really like rainbow and partially because we had a bag full of cardstock strips in rainbow colors left over from another project. We are happy with how it worked out!
- Cardstock in white and a rainbow of colors
Step 1: Paint a cardboard rectangle white and allow it to dry.
Step 2: Cut ear shapes from white cardstock. Cut inner ear from pink cardstock and glue to white ear pieces.
Step 3: Fold ears slightly in center and glue to top of rectangle.
Step 4: Cut out two large circles from white cardstock and two smaller circles from black cardstock. We traced around two different sized cups for the circles. Glue eyes to painted rectangle.
Step 5: Cut stripes and triangles from rainbow of colored cardstock and glue to painted cardboard rectangle.
Step 6: Cut a strip of cardstock in every color of the rainbow and glue between the zebra's ears for mane.
Step 7: Cut out two small circles from black cardstock for nostrils and glue to zebra.
Zebras look so amazing moving in a herd with their black stripes but it was fun to mix them up a bit for our Rainbow Striped Zebra!
