Such a beautiful time of year to be out in nature, isn't it? Go for a walk, gather a couple of nature paintbrushes to make these colorful process art Autumn Tree Globes!
- Nature Paintbrushes (pinecone, leaves, sticks, etc.)
- Paint (we used washable and watercolor)
- Paper Plate
- Textured Cardboard
- 1 inch Paper Hole Punch (recommended adult use only)
Step 1: Gather some elements from nature to use for painting - pinecone, leaves, etc.
Step 2: Use the nature paintbrushes to paint on white cardstock. Allow the paint to dry.
Step 3: Use the 1 inch paper punch to create colored circles for the leaves. Because of the sharp edges, this part is recommended for adults or with supervision, you know your child's skill level best!
Step 4: Cut the inner circle of a paper plate and paint it with blue watercolor paint. Allow the paint to dry.
Step 5: From textured cardboard, cut a tree trunk and glue it to the paper plate circle.
Step 6: Glue the circle leaves to the paper plate to finish the tree.
Each one looks so unique and it is fun to see all of the different variations - just like real trees in nature with their gorgeous and varying colors!
