Start with:
- Cardboard
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Cardstock
- Glue
- Pom Poms
- Paper Fasteners
- Textured Cardboard
- Single Hole Paper Punch
Create it!
Step 1: Paint cardboard yellow and allow to dry.
Step 2: Cut a long rectangle portion into several similar sized segments.
Step 3: Using a single hole punch , make holes on top and bottom of segments.
Step 4: Connect the segments with paper fasteners.
Step 5: Using a rectangle for the head, cut corners to shape.
Step 6: Cut ears and horns from yellow painted cardboard.
Step 7: From cardstock, cut an eye and glue to giraffe head.
Step 8: Glue ears and horns to giraffe head. Attach head with paper fastener.
Step 9: Glue pom poms to the tops of the horns.
Step 10: Cut circles from textured cardboard (like we did) or cardstock.
Use the dots for counting, sorting, even simple multiplication or division while working within the neck segments!
