Orange and black may be the most popular October colors but we decided to mix things up a bit with some brightly colored spiders and webs. This is such a fun party or playdate activity!
Start with:
- Embroidery Hoop
- Embroidery Thread
- Pom Poms
- Eyes
- Scissors
- Glue (We used a hot glue gun. Supervise little hands or join in on the fun!)
Create it!
Step 1: Remove the outer hoop and tie a piece of embroidery thread to the inside hoop.
Step 2: Hold thread tightly and wrap around the inner hoop, creating a web design.
Step 3: Tie the end of the thread to the inner hoop and secure the outer hoop.
Step 4: From embroidery thread, cut four pieces, 2-3 inches in length. Make a small knot on each end of the pieces.
Step 5: Glue together two pom poms, one slightly smaller than the other.
Step 6: Glue or stick on eyes if they have an adhesive back.
Step 7: Glue legs to the underside of the spider body.
Step 8: Glue the spider to the web.
And, if you are a fan of the traditional orange and black, feel free to use them for the web and spider if you like!
