Snake plants are so low maintenance and have such interesting patterns on their leaves. This collage snake plants artwork is a fun project for kids and adults alike - we made it a family project!
- Textured Cardboard
Step 1: Cut a planter shape from textured or regular cardboard. Paint it and allow it to dry.
Step 2: Paint cardboard different shades of green. We swirled green and black paint together for the dark green speckled color. Once dry, cut into rectangle strips.
Step 3: Cut strips from cardboard. These will be the stems for the snake plant leaves.
Step 4: Glue the green painted strips horizontally onto the vertical cardboard strip.
Step 5: Once dry, cut the combined strips into a leaf shape.
Step 6: Paint a larger rectangle of cardboard to serve as the artwork background. Allow it to dry.
Step 7: Glue the leaves onto the background.
Step 8: Glue the planter over the leaves.
These were a great family project - works well for a variety of ages - and it was fun to see how each of our snake plants turned out! And, if you are looking for some more plant craft projects, click here and here .
