Start with:
- Cardboard, plain and textured
- Paper Plates, Cardstock and Other Recycled Papers
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Glue
- 1 Inch Paper Punch
- Single Paper Punch
Create it!
Step 1: Cut a circle from cardboard. Paint it the color you would like for Santa's face and allow it to dry.
Step 2: For Santa's hat, we used the same steps as we used for our Paper Plate Apple Collage and cut it into the shape of a hat. Click here for tutorial.
Step 3: After gluing Santa's hat to the top of the cardboard circle, add facial features from cardstock or paint them! We used a 1 inch paper punch for Santa's eyes and a regular single paper punch for the pupils.
Step 4: Paint textured cardboard white and allow it to dry. Once dry, cut and punch circles. These will be used for Santa's beard and hat details.
Step 5: Glue one circle to the top of Santa's hat.
Step 6: Glue circles of various sizes along the bottom border of Santa's hat.
Step 7: Glue circles to the lower portion of Santa's face for his beard.
Put on some Christmas music, gather the materials and get set for a Christmas crafting session!
