There are so many kinds of interesting insects! Lady bugs, butterflies, bees - but our favorite kind of bug just might be the crafty kind! Make as many different species as you like and put them together into a fabulous collection!

Start with:

  • Cardboard
  • Cardstock
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Pom Poms
  • Tissue Paper
  • Paper Grocery Bag
  • Glue

Creat it!

Step 1: Paint cardboard yellow and allow to dry.

Step 2: Cut oval shape from yellow cardboard for bee body.

Step 3: Cut oval into 5-6 sections and glue, leaving space between sections on black cardstock.

Step 4: From yellow cardboard, cut a circle and an oblong shape, glue together to form bee head. 

Step 5: To bee head, glue two black pom poms for eyes and black antennae.

Step 6: Glue bee head to bee body.

Step 7: Cut small strips of black cardstock and glue to bee body for six legs.

Step 8: Cut two wings from white tissue paper and glue to bee body.

Step 9: Cut the bottom out of a paper grocery bag. Remove one handle. Turn bag inside out, fold and glue outer sides to back, creating area for hanging bug collection.

Step 10: Glue bugs to paper bag wall hanging.
