Can’t find the Easter baskets from last year or looking for something new for this year? This simple Easter basket uses materials you likely already have on hand.
- Paper Grocery Bag
- Wrapping Paper
- Stapler or tape
Using ruler and pen, trace ruler width vertical lines across card stock. Repeat on three additional pieces of cardstock.
Leaving one inch on top and bottom uncut, cut lines on sheets of cardstock. Cut approximately 1 in. strips of wrapping paper. We used the lines already on the back of the wrapping paper.
Weave the wrapping paper strips in basket pattern through cardstock sheets, securing ends with tape or stapler.
Cut approximately three inches off top of paper grocery bag. Cut additional approximately three inches in each corner of bag and fold down edges.
Tape or staple woven cardstock sheets to each side of the paper bag. Some pieces may need to be folded to cover the longer sides. Trim off any excess. We used the excess from the side woven cardstock pieces to create the handle.
Staple ribbon around the top of the basket and tie in bow!
